I’m going to share with you a very powerful method to generate a serge of sales in just a very short period of time. You can use it at anytime of your sales process for your new products and services or existing ones.
This isn’t something new, you’ve probably seen this method used in various ways and probably a few times over the years.
What’s different here is that I’ll go over why this method works so well and how you can implement it in your business today and generate some extra money.
Let’s start off by outlining what makes a good sale!
Zig Ziglar once said: “Every sale has five basic obstacles: no need, no money, no hurry, no desire, no trust.”
No Need: it’s obviously a no brainer that if your prospects feel no need for your product or service, they’re not going to buy. You overcome this by talking about why they need your product or service in your ad copy, sales page… and tying in the problems and issues they will overcome as a result.
No Money: this is one reason why it’s so key to target the right audience and qualify the right prospects as one of the few ways around “no money” is to offer a payment plan, or reduce the price to a level where it’s manageable by your prospect. And, in this case you have to be very careful not to devalue your product or service.
No Hurry: most of your traffic online or offline are made up of people browsing with no hurry to purchase. Your job is to make the purchasing decision something that needs to be actioned quickly and this can be accomplished by limiting quantities, space, time,…
No Desire: how do you make your products and services more desirable? Well, you can either go out and deliver PR like Apple does (with a big budget) or you could simply try and emphasize all the sexy and appealing parts of your products and services in your sales copy.
What is in it for me? This is the question you have to answer in your sales copy as people will buy on benefits not features.
No Trust: if your prospects have no idea who you are in your market this becomes very difficult to overcome. But, the good news with all the technology and media we have in today’s world, it’s actually quite easy to build trust. Just follow this and get out everywhere you can: “The more you give and the better the quality you deliver, then the more trust you will get over time.”
As long as you check off each one of these obstacles in your main sales copy and communications you send to your prospects, you’ll do just fine.
Which brings me into the actual “Quick Cash Flow Method” to generate more sales in a short period of time.
With this method we’re going to hit a few of those obstacles especially the “No Hurry” and “No Money” by using Scarcity. And the most effective scarcity is when you use price, quantity and time. (Note: for this to work, DO NOT use it as a gimmick, it has to be REAL)
The Method
The whole concept of this is to offer a limited time sale for any of your products or services, and limit the time, price discount and availability to hit all three components of scarcity.
You can do this over a 2 day period or as long as a week, for the purpose of this demonstration it’s 4 days where you’ll send an email every day (include your social media accounts if it fits) over 4 days promoting the price saving on your product or service.
That’s it. Yes, it really is that simple!
There are key factors to consider of course, after all – just sending an email out won’t guarantee sales. But hopefully you’ll be able to take what makes sense to you here and apply it to your own business.
Key Factors:
- have a product or service to sell with a sales page and website ready to receive traffic.
- Send your promotion to the right people, hopefully you’ve been following my advice and segmenting your contacts.
- The content and structure of the emails which I’ll be going over next.
The Emails
Every single email that goes out pretty much includes the same core content with a number of small tweaks for each day to emphasize the scarcity element. As well the emails will try to hit those 5 obstacles we talked about earlier.
First Email
Subject line:
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]
Read This Now [Time Sensitive]
[/feature_box]
The purpose of the subject line of course is to get the click to open and as you can see we’ve set the scene for scarcity.
Then comes an important part as the reader opens the email they’re faced with a countdown timer that ticks down live on the screen inside the email:
Then the email content kicks off with a brief outline of why we’re sending the email and introduces the limited-time discount.
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]
Hi Mike,
We’ve just launched our brand new course which will show you how to quickly grow your audience and build a list of passionate followers and get access to millions of new customers without spending a single penny.
To celebrate we’re having a 4-day quick sale, giving you a whopping 50% discount on the regular price.
[/feature_box]
As you can see, the opener is about whey we’re sending the promotion, details a benefit to the reader, and introduces the limited-time discount. Now, we go into more benefits and why this course is important.
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]In this brand new course you’ll learn how you can get your busienss live in Apple’s iTunes market and Google’s Androids market using completely free cutting edge tools and services, which will allow you to create multiple income streams with no cost whatsoever. And the kicker is, you can get this all done quickly so that you can get your business live in next to no time.
[/feature_box]Then we move onto our fist call to action.
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]You will also get 5 different business models for actually making money and growing your income (after all, what’s the point in an app that isn’t going to give you any returns?)

[/feature_box]We then immediately follow on with an outline of the scarcity, detailing how there are only 50 spots available for the 50% discount, and that the link will also expire in 4 days time. And include another call to action.
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]There are only 50 spots available at this discounted price, and the link expires in 4 days time, so you’ll need to act fast to grab your discount before they all get used up.

[/feature_box]NOTE: as I mentioned earlied it is KEY that your scarcity is 100% real. The next section goes into what’s in it for the prospect, and tries to answer some objections that could be in the prospect’s mind, with of course another call to action.
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]The course gives you focused step-by-step training sessions and videos walking you through the entire process, and we also give you full app templates so you can get started and published in super quick time. There’s no programming required, there’s no barrier to entry, and absolutely anyone can do this.

[/feature_box]And finally a sign off outlining the scarcity element.
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]I’m really looking forward to speaking with you inside the student area, but remember to act quickly before all the spots get snapped up.
Mike.
[/feature_box]Hopefully you were able to see how we tried to address the 5 obstacles and how the main focus was to pre-sell and get them to click. And once they click through, the sales page should follow on from the pre-sell and further build the main points to try and get the conversion.
Second Email
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]
Subject Line: Did you miss out?
[/feature_box]
This email again had the countdown timer at the top with the number of days, hours and so on obviously lower now. Few changes to the opening paragraph as we now go straight into the scarcity elements and call to action.
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]I wrote yesterday to tell you about the incredible deal you can get on my training course, and I wanted to make sure that you were able to read the email.
There are only 50 spots available at the 50% discounted price, and a quarter of them have already been snapped up. The half-off discount expires shortly so you need to act quickly if you want to claim your place.
Grab One Of The Remaining Spots
[/feature_box]One thing to also keep in mind that even though you might write all your emails in advance, if there’s elements that are affected based on the day it’s sent like in this case “a quarter of them have been snapped up” make sure to adjust that accordingly as you must keep everything truthful and real.
The rest of the email was kept the same outlining the benefits and prompting for the call to action.
For Email 3 and 4 there isn’t a great deal of difference, the main tweak is all around the dwindling number of remaining spots, and that time is running out.
The third email was scheduled to go out around 24 hours to go with the following subject line:
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]
“Last day, don’t delay!”
[/feature_box]
Again, the subject line here outlines that there is a time sensitive element to the message and they’ll see the countdown timer as well once they click.
The opening now has been tweaked to set a hard deadline to take action, including the number of discounted spots left available and a call to action.
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]The time-limited half-off sale for our new training course ends at midnight tomorrow, and as there are only a limited number of remaining spots available the discount will most likely expire before the deadline.
Act fast and make sure you get in before the doors slam shut:
Claim Your Place Now
[/feature_box]Again, the rest of the email is left unchanged. The only difference I’ve made in the past is add some bonuses at this point to make the offer even more irresistible to the reader. So, if you have some bonuses to compliment your offer you can add them here.
The last email is scheduled to go out in the last 12 hours or so of the promotion and the subject line is straight to the point:
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]
FINAL NOTICE
[/feature_box]
And again as prior, once clicked they’ll see the countdown timer. As for the opening paragraph it now hammers home the deadline, as well as the discounted spots left and a strong call to action.
[feature_box style=”9″ only_advanced=”There%20are%20no%20title%20options%20for%20the%20choosen%20style” alignment=”center”]Just a quick heads up to let you know that the 50% off discount link expires in a few short hours, and well over half of the 50 spots have already been snapped up, so they will most likely all be taken before the deadline.
Make sure you act quickly to grab one of the remaining spots before it’s too late, because once they’re gone and we hit the deadline, the half-off discount will automatically expire:
Get Your 50% Discount Before It’s Too Late
[/feature_box]And once again the rest of the email stays the same.
One key takeaway here is to make sure you stick to your guns when running this type of promotion and make sure it’s 100% real. So when people click the link after the deadline it truly takes them to an expired offer, which in return conditions them to take action more quickly next time you send out a time limited offer.
Here’s some examples that you could anchor throughout the year for a reason to use this promotion:
“To celebrate Independence day,…”
“Halloween is just 4 days away, and to celebrate we’re offering…”
“Christmas is a time of giving, and I’d like to give something to you. For the next 4 days…”
Hope you see how easy this is to get started!
