Whenever I chat with highly successful people and learn how they’ve been able to Excel in their craft, they pretty much always tell me the same thing.
The secret is their ability to do things other people are afraid to.
They have figured out that what gives them a crazy unfair advantage and that’s in life or in business is simply getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. And if you think about it, all it really comes down to and boils down to is one single thing and that’s change.
We tend to view change as a challenge and then in return challenge as a bad thing. Take a good hard look at some of the great things you’ve done or that have happened to you. I’m willing to bet that it’s a result of a change that you made and I’m even willing to bet that you found that challenging to some degree.
The trick is to embrace change.
As you know, I’ve been in the real estate business for some time now and it’s no secret that the industry is having a tough couple of years now. I see and I talk to realtors on a daily basis and they’re freaking out. They’re panicking of uncertainty, but the business is very much alive. Buyers and sellers are still out there. Homes are still selling we’ve even had some multiple offers.
The reality is most agents can no longer take it easy, sit back and hope things will just fall into place. They are now being forced out of their comfort zone to do things that they’ve never done before.
So my message to you today is this, step outside your comfort zone with everything you do. Don’t wait until you have to make a change. Make the change now when you still have a choice.
